Felicity and Jack entered the shop to see that Trixie was handling things well downstairs. “Where’s Jefferson?” Felicity asked.

“He headed upstairs to help Fix,” Trixie said. “It was kind of slow down here, so he went to check in on him.”

“Probably a good idea,” Felicity said. “I feel like we leave poor Fix up there by himself a lot.”

Jack laughed. “Yeah, probably. He’s training, though. He gets in on the action every once in a while, just like in the Daily case.”

“He was pretty good that day,” Felicity said, recalling how Fix had been in the van watching the security cameras. He had been the one to spot their culprit sneaking backstage to assassinate the senator. She told Trixie to hold down the fort, and she and Jack headed to the backroom and up the stairs to the agency.

Jefferson was pinning some print-outs onto the crime board. “Did you find something?” Jack asked.

“Nothing new,” Fix groaned and rubbed his eyes. He was sitting on the lounge furniture with Denise’s phone in his hands. “I’ve been sifting through her emails and social media pages all day. I’ve found plenty of evidence of her affair with Kirk. That’s what Jefferson’s putting up on the board, but that’s it.”

“Right now, I think Denise is our prime suspect,” Jack said. “But…that doesn’t really hit the mark for me.”

“I agree,” Jefferson said. “It would make sense for her to go after Bobby, but there is no way she would be able to strangle him. She’s a tiny little woman, and Bobby was not exactly a little guy. And why would Denise stage Bobby’s murder to look like Charles’s murder? That doesn’t make a whole lot a sense. And even though she probably knew Brandon through Kirk, I don’t get exactly what the motive would be there?”

“Maybe she blames him for Kirk getting arrested?” Felicity suggested.

“Yeah, but according to Patrick, Denise was spotted across the street when Brandon was hit with that arrow,” Jack said. “So, the only way Denise could be guilty of either murder is if she hired someone else to do it.”

“That seems a little extreme,” Felicity said. “I don’t think she would have killed Bobby. She wanted him back, and even though she’s a bit irate…she didn’t really strike me as someone who would kill her former lover, you know?”

“She is literally the only person we have found with any connection to both Bobby and Brandon, though,” Jefferson said with a sigh. “But…it’s just not adding up. We’re clearly missing something. How did the interview with Charles Junior go?”

“Not really anything new to report,” Jack said. “Charles didn’t really give us anything that we didn’t already know.”

“Well, he did admit to being really bitter toward Brandon about their father being killed,” Felicity said. “So, that would give him some motive, but he also seemed really upset that he lost his brother too. So, I don’t know about that. We did have a chance to speak with Oscar and Jazz.”

“The drug dealers?” Fix asked.
